Our Mission
At Be More Pre-Health Consulting, we specialize in assisting pre-health students through the complex medical school admissions process.
Our firm provides an affordable means of assisting you in any aspect of your application AND interviews. We are a regional operation and as such can provide our undivided, focused, and in-person attention to YOUR application. Many of our competitors charge on average $300.00 per hour or more with minimum hour requirements. Even if you are not located around us, we are more than happy to help you via Zoom, phone, and email anywhere in the world.
The process of getting into medical school is one of the most important applications of your professional life. We are senior medical students and physicians who are intimately familiar with all aspects of the process, including interviews and selection committees. By having spoken with dozens of premedical students and non-traditional applicants, we have learned that there is much outdated and inconsistent advice out there. From starting as premedical students, becoming applicants, medical students, admission committee members, and now physicians, we can provide better application advice than most other advisors. Arm yourself with experts that have actually been through the medical school application process and will have your back.
Our Approach
We deliver a systematic approach to optimize client outcomes, leveraging our extensive experience in medical admissions.

About
Alexander Fang, MD
Hello, my name is Alexander Fang and I am a graduate of SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, where I earned my MD with a Distinction in Research and was inducted into both the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. My path to medicine began at the University of Delaware, where I graduated cum laude as a Eugene du Pont Memorial Scholar with a BS in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Biosciences.
I bring a unique perspective to medical school admissions consulting, combining high-level clinical training with extensive experience in mentorship and advisory roles. Most recently, I served as a Psychiatry Resident at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where I led multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced inpatient units and mentored junior residents and medical students on clinical priorities and professional development.
As the Founder and Owner of Be More Pre-Health Consulting, I have successfully launched and scaled a practice dedicated to guiding the next generation of healthcare professionals. I have delivered personalized mentorship to over 50 clients, specializing in:
-
Resume and Application Refinement: Ensuring your unique narrative stands out to selection committees.

-
Gap Analysis: Proactively identifying and solving potential hurdles in your application profile.
-
End-to-End Advisory: Serving as a primary contact for all admissions-based questions throughout the entire cycle.

FAQs
Do you work with students who don't live in New York?
Absolutely!
We will work with you via email, phone and Zoom no matter where you are. Regardless, wherever you are we can provide our full range of services with the convenience of never having to leave your home.
I'm interested in getting advice. Can you tell me more about your free consultation?
Sure! We are more than happy to meet with you either in person or on the phone to discuss any questions you may have about the basic application process and how we can help you succeed. Our free consultation includes discussing your application and CV, basic strategies, gauging all the options ahead of you, and what services best fit your needs. We look forward to hearing from you!
What can you provide that my premed counseling office doesn't?
Your premed counseling office provides valuable information regarding the application process and the required courses you may need to take for different medical school options. We provide individualized services tailored to your specific application, strengths, and questions.
While the premed counselors are a great place to start, we offer another set of professional eyes to comb through your application materials and provide detailed feedback on essays and secondaries with multiple rounds of revision and editing. In addition, you will get the chance to practice interviews with experts that have served as actual interviewers and have experienced how prospective candidates are evaluated.
Many interview questions can be found online. What is the benefit of a mock interview?
After getting your application submitted, the most important next step is the interview. The interview is more than just answering questions; it is also about how you answer them, how you portray yourself, and your demeanor. We provide feedback regarding all aspects of the interview, from your answers to your body language.
If you feel that you simply want interview assistance, we offer that individual service as well.
How long does it take to get revisions and edits back to me?
We strive to give complete and meaningful revisions and advice to every essay, secondary, or written statement that is given to us. For that reason, we may take up to 72 hours to get back to you. Some cases may require additional time but we will stay in touch and let you know if we need more time to complete a revision. We can offer a rush service (24 hour turnaround) for an additional fee.
I don't have Paypal, what other ways can I pay for your services?
That's no problem at all. We use Paypal for those customers who are not located close by and/or prefer paying with a credit or debit card. We are happy to accept checks in person, via mail, or any other arrangements discussed beforehand. We also take BTC or ETH and can offer a discount if you decide to use a cryptocurrency.
Will you write my personal statement or secondary essays for me?
While we are happy to work with you regarding the content of your essays, we cannot write them for you. We provide in-depth editing and revising for any essays you may need help with and we can even help you brainstorm ideas for your essays during our meetings.
Can you guarantee that I will be accepted into a medical school?
Getting accepted to medical school is a difficult and strenuous process for even the most qualified applicants. While we cannot guarantee anyone's acceptance, we can help you get the most out of your application, your interview, and increase your chances for success.
Can you give detailed admissions information about any particular medical school?
While we have sat on selection committees, we are not at liberty to divulge specific admissions criteria and processes. We can however provide you with information about what different schools are looking for in successful candidates and the best strategies for acing your interviews.
What is your refund policy?
Because of the nature of digital products and consulting services, we cannot offer a refund on items already edited or services used. For purchased items that remain unused, including services within a package plan, there is no expiration date and we will be happy to render services at a future date or application cycle, whichever is most convenient for you. We unfortunately cannot offer refunds on unused portions of a package plan but can apply these items to a future package or trade them for other services we offer.
